Copy and Paste <3

So everyone in my English class is always so amazed at how our teacher keeps giving us these worksheets about literary terms, and they're ones that we've never heard of. I stumble on this site, and all the definitions and examples are exactly the same as the ones on the sheets. Copy and Paste baby, copy and paste <3

Flashback also used to show

Flashback also used to show connections of events, To discipline the readers, to create suspence to the readers, to show background of events, situation, persons etc, to avoid readers to have hasty judgement towards the characters last is to delay information to the readers. Thanks,

Flash Forward

In the book I'm reading, there are little excerpts from the future at the end of each chapter, and the main story line eventually catches up the the excerpts. Would this be considered a flash forward or what would it be called otherwise?

that as far as I know would

that as far as I know would be foreshadowing

Foreshadowing vs Flashforward

I don't think foreshadowing would be quite the right term in that case. I think flashforward actually works better

yeah

it flash forward

RE: this is not the kind of

Puts a scene in the story that will -help the reader better understand- the sequence or events to show something that happened in the past.

Posted by Anonymous on Tue, 11/15/2011 - 04:13
that will PAUSE the sequence

that will PAUSE the sequence of events to show something that happened in the past
