I do this a lot because I dont like straight out insulting people, alas..

"She's wasn't as nimble on her feet as she could've been."

"Those pants aren't COMPLETELY cutting off his circulation.."

"Her cleavage might have been able to stay in her shirt a little better."

... and thats when the litote was born.

Actually...?

There are people who actually have a favorite literary device? Like... I barely understand how to find them... hence my visit to this site so I can do well on my AVREP project... (which is basically an essay we have to tear apart and attach to annotations, and furthermore we will will have to visually represent them.Oh how I love English....)
